Physical Education
At Grange Park Junior School, we believe that regular exercise helps children sleep better and handle both physical and emotional challenges more positively. We also think all pupils leaving primary school should be physically literate and with the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them for healthy, active lifestyle and lifelong participation in physical activity and sport. We want to ensure we provide enjoyable experiences where positive attitudes of sensitivity, leadership, co-operation, competition and tolerance may develop.
Our pupils have a minimum of 2 hours of curricular PE a week taught by their Class Teacher and Primary Sporting Development. We embrace all physical activity beyond the curriculum which is why we are proud to offer a broad range of After School Clubs, The Daily Mile, taster sessions, football friendly matches with local schools and compete in various internal and external competitions for all abilities.
Swimming Lessons
We are very excited to have our very own swimming pool on site. By doing so, 4 of our staff are fully trained Swimming Instructors who deliver swimming lessons, assess and plan extra-curricular opportunities for our pupils and other schools in the borough. If you are interested in using our facilities, please contact the school for more information regarding our provision and packages.
To further develop and support our children we offer a number of different extra-curricular After School Clubs throughout the year; please click on the club timetables link below.
